Other Exemptions Tab > Disabled Veteran/First Responder
The Disabled Veteran/First Responder page is associated with the Other Exemptions Tab. This page allows the user to apply for the disabled veteran/first responder exemptions. It also provides a link the corresponding Florida Statute and advises of the exemption amount for each exemption.
1.Would you like to apply for the Disabled Veteran with a Disability Level of 10% or greater Exemption?: Choose Yes or No under Veteran/ First Responder if you are the veteran or under Surviving Spouse if you are the surviving spouse of the Disabled Veteran
2.Would you like to apply for the Disabled Veteran - Service Connected Total & Permanent Disability Exemption?: Choose Yes or No under Veteran/ First Responder if you are the veteran or under Surviving Spouse if you are the surviving spouse of the Disabled Veteran
3.Would you like to apply for the Veteran's Surviving Spouse - Veteran died in the line of duty Exemption?: Choose Yes or No under Surviving Spouse
4.Would you like to apply for the Disabled Veteran - Service Connected Requiring the Use of a Wheelchair Exemption?: Choose Yes or No under Veteran/ First Responder if you are the veteran or under Surviving Spouse if you are the surviving spouse of the Disabled Veteran
5.Would you like to apply for the Disabled Veteran - 65 and older Combat-Related Disability?: Choose Yes or No under Veteran/ First Responder
6.Would you like to apply for the First Responder's Surviving Spouse - First Responder died in the line of duty Exemption?: Choose Yes or No under Surviving Spouse
7.Would you like to apply for the Disable First Responder - First Responder totally and permanently disabled in the line of duty Exemption?: Choose Yes or No under Veteran/ First Responder if you are the First Responder or under Surviving Spouse if you are the surviving spouse of the First Responder
(Selecting "Yes" to any of the questions above will prompt the wizard to ask the applicant to upload proof of disability (letter or certificate) from the appropriate agency, and if applying as a surviving spouse, the spouse's death certificate.
